ONCE YOU’VE ARRIVED IN NEW ORLEANS,
HERE’S HOW TO MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE QUISBY
FROM LOUIS ARMSTRONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Airport Shuttle
If you’re traveling alone and want to save a little money, you can take the Airport Shuttle. The cost is $24 each way or $44 for a round trip. This usually takes between one hour and 90 minutes each way. The shuttle needs to be reserved at least 24 hours in advance through their website.
Bus
If you’re on a budget, you can take the Jefferson Transit E2 Bus to downtown. This bus is available Monday through Friday from 05:37 to 18:14. Another option (your only option if you arrive on a weekend) is the NORTA 202 Bus (see below), although it runs much less frequently.
Buses pickup from upstairs near the arrivals area. The cost is $2. It drops you off at the corner of Tulane Ave and Loyola Ave. From Tulane and Loyola you can walk, which takes about 25 minutes, or transfer to the St. Charles Ave Streetcar.
To walk, go down Tulane Ave towards the river. After one block it becomes Common St, keep walking for another 4 blocks. Once you get to St. Charles Ave, turn right onto St. Charles Ave and walk one mile until you reach the Quisby, 1225 St. Charles Ave, located on St. Charles Ave between Clio St and Erato St.
To take the streetcar, follow the same directions but stop walking when you reach St. Charles Ave. The Streetcar stop is in front of the Royal St. Charles Hotel. They run 24 hours a day (but less frequently at night than during the day). You will get off at Erato Street, approximately 6 stops.
If your flight arrives on a Saturday or Sunday, you can catch the NORTA 202 Bus from the Airport to Union Passenger Terminal. Buses pickup from upstairs near the arrivals area. The 202 bus runs every day at 06:10, 06:30, 07:30, 08:00, 14:10, 15:50, 17:00, and 19:00. The cost is $1.25. For directions from Union Passenger Terminal to The Quisby, see below.
From Union Passenger Station
Walk down Howard Avenue 4 blocks to Lee Circle. At Lee Circle, take a right onto St. Charles Avenue and walk 3 blocks to arrive at our front door.
Taxi/Uber/Lyft
For getting to The Quisby from the airport, we recommend a taxi or Uber/Lyft. The taxi rate is $36 for one or two people and $15 per person for three or more, Uber/Lyft is usually a little less. The journey takes around 30 minutes.
Driving Directions
New Orleans is a walking city so we do not recommend renting a car if you’re flying in. However, if you’re driving in, you can reach us by taking the Carondelet Street Exit from I-10 and then turning right at St. Charles Ave. After one block, you will see us on your right.
Unfortunately we don’t offer any parking onsite. There is a paid lot, Premium Parking – Lot P148, 3 blocks away at 900 Saint Charles Ave. There is also usually some free street parking to be had in the area, just be mindful of signage and make sure not to block any driveways.
